I hope you get a chance to relax over the Labor Day weekend. Perhaps you'll even see a movie.
Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until November 24 to see Love and Other Drugs, a romantic comedy starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. Why should Drug Channels readers care? Because the movie is based on Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman, a non-fiction book penned by former Pfizer sales rep James Reidy.
Check out the trailer below for what seems like a sorta sympathetic look at the pharmaceutical industry. Click here if you can't see the video.
Cute or lame? Hard to tell, but I somehow doubt that you'll learn much about actual physician detailing. In one of the other trailers (this one), Pfizer is introduced by a gaggle of cheerleaders followed by the exploding sign shown above. I also doubt that Pfizer's PR team will dignify the movie with a response.
Have a great weekend!
Until Nov check out this sales rep:

Think I'll skip this one. Obama has given me enough industry bashing for one year!
ReplyDeleteAdam, I think this is boarder line "chick-flick" but there are not that many movies about the pharmaceutical industry - therefore - I will add it to my NetFlix queue. (Hahaha!)
ReplyDeleteThe movie creates a good impact on the product itself as over-promotion takes place. generic viagra
